Rematriculation
Rematriculation is the re-inclusion of a person in the list of students. The student continues their studies from the same point at which they were interrupted.
A person can be rematriculated if there is a vacant state-funded or non-state-funded student place in the requested specialisation.
The prerequisite for rematriculation is that the person has submitted their overdue papers and taken their exams (e.g. as an external student). A student can be rematriculated for the same semester that the studies were interrupted or for the next semester.
A student is not rematriculated in the extension period. A person who has been deleted from the matriculation register due to the expiry of the final date of studies cannot be rematriculated. Such a student can complete their studies as an external student.
If a student has been deleted from the matriculation register due to inappropriate behaviour, the student cannot apply for rematriculation until one year has passed.
A student who has been deleted from the matriculation register due to failure to pay the tuition fees by the due date cannot apply for rematriculation until the overdue fees have been paid.
